West Cork Sailing Centre
Location: Adrigole, Ireland
West Cork Sailing and Powerboating Centre operates from Adrigole Pier on the Beara Peninsula in County Cork, on the sheltered water of Adrigole Harbour off Bantry Bay. The centre was established in 1997 as a training centre accredited by both the Irish Sailing Association and the Royal Yachting Association. Its purpose-built Boat House, completed in 1999, has a heated classroom, changing rooms and a cafe. Courses cover dinghy sailing and powerboating for all ages, and liveaboard cruising instruction takes place aboard Jessy of Adrigole, a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 37. The centre also runs skippered sailing trips along the Cork and Kerry coast and rents kayaks for paddling around the resident seal colony in the harbour.
