Royal Cork Sailing School

Location: Crosshaven, Ireland

Royal Cork Sailing School is the training operation of the Royal Cork Yacht Club at Crosshaven in Cork Harbour, not a separate business. Founded in 1720, the club is generally recognised as the oldest yacht club in the world and marked its tricentenary in 2020. Its Crosshaven base has two marinas with 220 berths in total and a dedicated sail training centre. Training follows the Irish Sailing scheme and includes junior dinghy courses, adult beginner and advanced courses, crew safety training for inshore racing, and an Under 25 Keelboat Academy that combines coaching with a season of more than 80 scheduled races. The club also hosts Cork Week, its biennial regatta.
