Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre Mumbai
Location: Mumbai, India
The Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre in Colaba, Mumbai, was established in 1947 and is one of India's oldest sailing training establishments. It trains naval personnel in sailing, kayaking and boat handling, and is the home base of the Indian Navy Sailing Team. The centre regularly hosts the Indian Navy Sailing Championship under the Indian Naval Sailing Association; the 2023 edition drew more than 100 competitors from all three naval commands, racing ILCA 7, ILCA 6, windsurf, Laser Bahia and J-24 classes. The centre keeps a varied fleet of dinghies, keelboats and kayaks on Mumbai harbour. It is a military facility, and access is limited to naval personnel and invited events.
