Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre (Kochi)

The Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre in Kochi is a naval facility that trains Indian Navy personnel in sailing, boat handling and related water skills. It is one of several INWTC units the Navy runs at its main bases, with counterparts in Mumbai and Karwar. Kochi is the headquarters of the Southern Naval Command, the Navy's training command, and the centre operates within this establishment. The centre has hosted events with civilian links, including a National Cadet Corps sailing expedition camp in 2021 and the Ocean Blue Laser Coastal National Sailing Championship in 2011. It is a military facility and is not open to the general public for courses.
