Galway Bay Sailing School
Location: Oranmore, Ireland
Galway Bay Sailing School is the training arm of Galway Bay Sailing Club, an accredited Irish Sailing training centre at Rinville near Oranmore, about ten kilometres east of Galway city on the inner shore of Galway Bay. The club was established in 1970 in Galway city and moved to Rinville in 1972; its clubhouse opened in 1980. Training runs from Taste of Sailing sessions through the Irish Sailing small boat scheme to advanced boat handling. Junior summer camps in Optimists and Fevas run from early July, and a five-week adult Introduction to Sailing course starts each year in late March. The club also races dinghies, cruisers and multihulls through the season.
