Clube Naval de Maputo Sailing School

Location: Maputo, Mozambique

Clube Naval de Maputo is one of the oldest sports clubs in Mozambique, founded in 1913 as Grémio Náutico de Lourenço Marques and later known as Clube Naval de Lourenço Marques before taking its current name. The club sits on the shore of Maputo Bay and promotes sailing, rowing, motor boating, swimming and fishing. Its sailing section has three instructors and teaches on a fleet that grew in April 2012 when the Mozambican Sailing and Canoeing Federation donated sixteen boats, among them eight Optimists, five Lasers, two 420s and a rigid inflatable support boat. The club also hosts regattas and recreational events for members and visitors.
