Passantenhaven Binnenstad Gouda

Location: Burgemeester James Singel 1, Gouda, Netherlands

Gouda's inner city moorings are run by the municipality and give visiting boats a berth in the historic waters of the cheese town, a short walk from the market square and the Sint-Janskerk. In total there are around 200 mooring places in the city waters, and floating jetties have been laid in the Hollandsche IJssel for passing craft. On the Turfsingel lies the Museumhaven, an open-air collection of some twenty historic sailing and cargo vessels from around 1900, where traditional ships can also moor by arrangement with the harbourmaster. Gouda sits on the busy route between the Hollandsche IJssel and the Gouwe, so the moorings work well as an overnight stop on a passage through South Holland.
