Jachthaven ’t Swaentje
Location: Westknollendam 64a, Westknollendam, Netherlands
Jachthaven 't Swaentje lies on the west bank of the River Zaan at Westknollendam, north of the Zaanse Schans windmills, with direct water connections to the Alkmaardermeer and Uitgeestermeer to the north and the Noordzeekanaal, and hence Amsterdam, to the south. It is a small, service-minded family harbour offering permanent berths and visitor moorings, showers and toilets, engine and technical services, and winter storage at a nearby site in Wormer. An eetcafe on the premises adds a sociable touch. The surrounding Zaanstreek is rich in industrial heritage, and Haarlem and Alkmaar are both within a comfortable day's motoring.
