Jachthaven 't Sluisje

Location: Schoterzijl 5, Schoterzijl, Netherlands

't Sluisje at Schoterzijl is a family-run combination of eetcafe, marina and campsite beside the old sea lock where the Tjonger, or Kuinder, once met the Zuiderzee, on the southern edge of Friesland near Kuinre. The harbour itself is tiny, with six permanent berths and around eleven visitor places, so most guests come for the restaurant, which holds a 4.7 rating on Tripadvisor and fills up enough that booking is advised. The Tjonger connects the mooring to the Frisian lake network inland, while the Vollenhove and Blokzijl waters lie close to the south. For crews after traditional cooking and a quiet rural berth, it is a distinctive overnight stop.
