Jachthaven Nijesyl
Location: Nijsyl 29, Oosthem, Netherlands
Jachthaven Nijesyl is a small private marina in the hamlet of Nijesyl at Oosthem, in the heart of the Frisian lake district within walking distance of the Eleven Cities town of IJlst and ten minutes by car from Sneek. The harbour has 22 permanent berths and takes no visiting yachts; places are let on request through a waiting list. It is run by the skippers of the former freight ship De Onrust, and facilities are simple but complete, with a shower, toilet, washbasin and an outdoor washing-up point. The location gives quick access to the popular sailing waters around IJlst, Sneek, Heeg and the Sneekermeer.
