Jachthaven Nauerna
Location: Kanaaldijk 31, Nauerna, Netherlands
Jachthaven Nauerna lies in Zijkanaal D, a quiet side arm of the Noordzeekanaal at the hamlet of Nauerna near Assendelft, roughly midway between the North Sea locks at IJmuiden and Amsterdam. The position suits crews who commute between salt and fresh water, and the surrounding Zaanstreek canals make good day-trip territory, with Haarlem about 30 minutes away by boat and Amsterdam around 90. The harbour offers seasonal and year-round berths, an on-site workshop for maintenance and repairs, fuel, a bed and breakfast on the water and the Havenrestaurant Nauerna, open daily except Tuesdays. It has flown the Blue Flag since 2013. Fixed bridges on the approach canals mean motorboats outnumber sailing yachts here.
