Jachthaven Molenstreek
Location: Aquapark 11, Veendam, Netherlands
Jachthaven Molenstreek is the municipal guest harbour of Veendam in the Groningen veenkolonien, tucked between the Hazepadbrug and Molenbrug on the canal through town. It is a passanten harbour pure and simple: around 20 guest moorings, no permanent berths, and basic but free facilities that include shore power, a drinking water tap and a small sanitary block with a shower, toilet and wash basins. There is no fuel or waste-water station, so crews should plan accordingly. The town centre lies within walking distance, which makes the harbour a convenient overnight halt on the canal routes of the Groningen peat district.
