Jachthaven Marenland

Location: Havenstraat 2, Winsum, Netherlands

Jachthaven Marenland lies on the Winsumerdiep on the edge of Winsum, the Groningen village once voted the prettiest in the Netherlands, a short walk from its twin windmills and old bridges. Part of the Marenland recreation complex, which also runs a campsite, bedstee hotel and boat rental, the harbour has roughly 50 berths split between permanent holders and visitors, with sanitary facilities, electricity, a water point, waste-water station and trailer ramp. It is a natural stop on the staande mastroute through the Reitdiep country, with Groningen city about two hours away by water and the Wadden Sea port of Lauwersoog reachable in a day.
