Jachthaven Katwijk

Location: Haringkade 6, Katwijk aan Zee, Netherlands

Jachthaven Katwijk lies in the mouth of the Oude Rijn at Katwijk aan Zee, about 950 metres from the North Sea beach. The harbour has 274 permanent boxes for boats from 5 to about 14 metres, plus green bank moorings on the north side of the river for boats up to 17 metres. Around 130 visitor berths make it one of the larger passantenhavens in Zuid-Holland. There is a restaurant at the harbour and the usual sanitary facilities. Permanent berths run through a waiting list, with residents of the municipality of Katwijk given priority. Inland, the Oude Rijn leads to Leiden and the Kagerplassen; the sluice at Katwijk closes off the river from the sea.
