Jachthaven Jonkman

Location: Jachthaven 1, Sassenheim, Netherlands

Jachthaven Jonkman sits at the aptly named address Jachthaven 1 in Sassenheim, on the western side of the Kagerplassen in the Dutch bulb region. The lakes connect to the Ringvaart and the staande-mastroute, so both local sloop owners and passage-making yachts use the harbour. Jonkman is best known for its covered winter storage halls, which draw boats from well beyond the Kaag each autumn, and the yard runs a seasonal operation with daily opening from April to October. Six camper pitches and electric vehicle charging points supplement the marine facilities, and the office handles brokerage and berth administration from Industriekade 36. The harbour maintains an active Facebook page.
