Jachthaven It Spoardok

Location: Finkum, Feinsum, Netherlands

It Spoardok is a small village harbour on the Feinsumer Feart in Feinsum, a Frisian village north of Leeuwarden. The waterway is part of the northern Elfstedenroute, the classic circuit past the eleven Frisian towns, so the harbour makes a practical overnight stop between Leeuwarden and Dokkum. Do not expect marina comforts. There are no shore facilities, and the harbour is run from the village. What it has is quiet water, good swimming and fishing, and open farmland on every side. Berths suit smaller motor and sailing boats, and the village itself counts only around a hundred residents, which sets the tone for the stay.
