Jachthaven It Soal
Location: Suderséleane 25, Workum, Netherlands
It Soal, now marketed as Soal Beach Resort, is one of the biggest leisure harbours on the Frisian IJsselmeer coast, lying at the mouth of the channel from Workum with lock-free access to open water in minutes. The marina holds around 550 berths, roughly 100 of them for visitors, and is backed by a full-blown resort: a long sandy beach with shallow water that suits young families, well-known windsurfing and kitesurfing conditions, a campsite and apartments, harbour restaurant with terrace, diesel station and on-site service companies. Bikes can be hired at the harbour office for the short ride into Workum, one of Friesland's historic eleven cities.
