Jachthaven Hindeloopen
Location: Oosterstrand 3, Hindeloopen, Netherlands
Jachthaven Hindeloopen lies directly on the IJsselmeer beside the old Zuiderzee town of Hindeloopen, one of Friesland's eleven cities. The marina has 550 fixed berths and around 50 visitor places for boats from 7 to 25 metres, each with its own electricity and water connection from April to October, plus free WiFi and sanitary buildings open around the clock. Facilities go well beyond the usual: an indoor swimming pool and sauna, a fitness room, tennis and squash courts, a playground and petting farm, the Sailors Inn restaurant, a croissanterie and a watersports shop. A yacht service and refit department handles maintenance and winter storage. The town, known for its painted furniture and skating museum, is a few minutes on foot.
