Jachthaven Groninger Motorboot Club
Location: Eemskanaal 70, Groningen, Netherlands
The Groninger Motorboot Club was founded more than a century ago and still runs its own harbour at Eemskanaal Noordzijde 70, at the crossing of the Eemskanaal and the Winschoterdiep on the standing mast route. The city centre of Groningen is about 1.8 kilometres away, close enough to walk in for an evening. The club harbour has around 65 fixed berths and 25 visitor places, and passing boats are expressly welcome even though there is a waiting list for permanent moorings. Facilities cover drinking water, shore power, sanitary facilities, WiFi, a washing machine and a dryer. The club also owns an island in the Paterswoldsemeer that members use for summer mooring and recreation.
