Jachthaven Garnwerd aan Zee

Location: Hunzeweg 38, Garnwerd, Netherlands

Garnwerd aan Zee lies on the Reitdiep about ten kilometres north of Groningen, on the standing mast route between the city and Lauwersoog. The river sees roughly 7,500 passages a year, so the harbour is a natural stop for crews bound for the Lauwersmeer and the Wadden Sea. The marina is open from 15 April to 15 October. Every box has a wide side jetty and a 16 amp shore power connection, and the visitor rate of around two euros per metre includes water, electricity and WiFi. Ashore there is a toilet block with showers and a laundry, plus a restaurant and bike hire. The village of Garnwerd itself is a small dike settlement on the Groningen clay.
