Jachthaven Florynhaven

Location: Doeleplein 2, Schiedam, Netherlands

The Florynhaven, also spelt Florijnhaven, is Schiedam's municipal visitor harbour, tucked into the historic centre at the foot of De Kameel, one of the tallest windmills in the world. The basin offers 49 berths, some with finger piers and some along a long pontoon, all with electricity and water taps close at hand. The harbour service answers on VHF channel 22 and telephone, with day-to-day management handled by Irado on behalf of the municipality. Access from the Nieuwe Maas runs through Schiedam's old harbours and locks. Crews step ashore straight into the jenever city's shopping streets, mills and restaurants, which makes this one of the more atmospheric passanten stops in the Rotterdam region.
