Jachthaven Dolfijn
Location: Kanaalweg 14, Mook, Netherlands
Jachthaven Dolfijn sits on the short entrance canal that links the river Maas to the Mookerplas at Mook, just south of Nijmegen in the province of Limburg. Run by family firm Dolfijn Watersport en Recreatie, the harbour holds around 60 permanent berths and does not take overnight visitors; passing crews stop instead for the canalside restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on a waterside terrace from April to mid October. The company hires out open motorboats, sloops and canoes for exploring the Mookerplas, plus bicycles, e-bikes and mountain bikes for the wooded Mookerheide hills behind the village. Nijmegen lies within easy cycling distance along the Maas.
