Jachthaven De Wiel
Location: Scheepswerf 4, Heusden, Netherlands
Jachthaven De Wiel is a harbour at Heusden in Noord-Brabant, close to the restored star-shaped fortress town on the Bergsche Maas. The basin has 115 berths for yachts up to 40 metres plus 10 visitor places, and the berths are wider than usual for their class. The harbour belongs to Nautical Services Heusden, a yard group that concentrates refit and maintenance trades on one site: winter storage, yacht painting, marine engine specialists, electronics installation, metalwork, carpentry and upholstery, along with brokerage and insurance. De Wiel is as much a place to have work done as to lie afloat; the old town of Heusden is a short walk away.
