Jachthaven De Welle
Location: De Welle 31, Heerenveen, Netherlands
Jachthaven De Welle is a large, quiet harbour on the Nieuw Heerenveense Kanaal on the northwestern edge of Heerenveen in Friesland, run by the Heerenveense Watersportvereniging Nannewijd. The marina holds around 375 boats, most on annual and seasonal berths, with ample space kept free for visiting crews. Shore facilities include a toilet building, a fuel station, a boat lift and winter storage, and a heated shed allows work on boats throughout the year. The harbour sits well for cruises along the Turfroute through southeast Friesland and for reaching the Frisian lakes, with the Nannewijd and the waters around Akkrum and Joure close at hand.
