Jachthaven De Turfvaart
Location: Westpolderpad 6, Etten-Leur, Netherlands
Jachthaven De Turfvaart opened in April 2001 on the Westpolderplas at the northern edge of Etten-Leur, at the end of the six-kilometre Leurse Haven. The marina has about 60 berths with power and water on the jetties, and a pavilion with a terrace has stood beside the water since 2005. The setting is open Brabant polder, yet the shopping centre of Etten-Leur is only a few minutes away. The Westpolderplas itself is a swimming and recreation lake with a beach, canoeing and a playing field with beach volleyball and basketball courts. The Leurse Haven connects the harbour to the river Mark and the wider Brabant and Zeeland waterways.
