Jachthaven De Toekomst
Location: Scheendijk 11, Breukelen, Netherlands
Jachthaven De Toekomst lies on the Scheendijk at Breukelen, on sheltered water directly connected to the Loosdrechtse Plassen and close to the river Vecht. Day trips to the Vinkeveense Plassen are possible through nearby locks. The marina is a family business founded in 1960 by Ben Wiegmans and now run by his son Harold and grandson Ralph. There are 140 summer berths across two adjoining fields, in boxes, along piers or at the shore. Winter storage takes about 200 boats, indoors up to 8 metres and outdoors up to 10 metres, with a 3.5 tonne lift. Facilities include showers and toilets, WiFi, a small chandlery for paint and cleaning supplies, an unmanned kiosk and around 100 parking spaces.
