Jachthaven De Steur

Location: Bandijk 2, Werkendam, Netherlands

Jachthaven De Steur sits on the Steurgat at the south-western edge of Werkendam, right on the doorstep of the Biesbosch National Park, the largest freshwater tidal wilderness in Europe. The harbour offers roughly 135 berths for boats up to about 15 metres, some 80 of them permanent, with shore power and water on the pontoons, showers ashore and a restaurant nearby. From here the creeks and willow forests of the Biesbosch are minutes away, ideal territory for sloops, small cruisers and canoeists alike, while Werkendam itself, a long-standing centre of Dutch dredging and shipbuilding, provides shops and services within walking distance.
