Jachthaven De Rijd

Location: Vijverweg 16, Nieuwe Niedorp, Netherlands

Jachthaven De Rijd is a small association-run harbour at Vijverweg 16 in Nieuwe Niedorp, a village in the West Frisian municipality of Hollands Kroon. The marina sits on the water it is named after, De Rijd, an old creek connecting to Het Waardje and onward into the canal network of the Kop van Noord-Holland, sheltered water that suits motorboats and small open sailing craft. It has about 50 permanent berths and half a dozen visitor places, with a depth of around 1.30 metres limiting the harbour to shallow-draught boats. A harbour master looks after arrivals and berth transfers. Facilities are basic and the fees modest, in keeping with the rural polder surroundings.
