Jachthaven De Otter

Location: Roegeweg 6a, Steendam, Netherlands

Jachthaven De Otter forms part of Recreatiecentrum De Otter on the south-western shore of the Schildmeer at Steendam. The harbour provides around 150 permanent berths and 25 guest places for boats from 3.5 to 16 metres, at jetties equipped with lighting, water and electricity. A boat crane, slipway, chemical toilet disposal point and waste-water station cover the practicalities, and sailing boats, motorboats, canoes and kayaks can be hired. Via the Schildmeer and the Groningen canals, crews can reach Slochteren, the city of Groningen, the Zuidlaardermeer and ultimately the Wadden Sea. The adjoining campsite is closed for redevelopment into a holiday park under the Hofparken name.
