Jachthaven de Merenpoort
Location: Hellingpad 16, Echtenerbrug, Netherlands
Jachthaven de Merenpoort is one of the older harbours in the centre of Echtenerbrug in Friesland, on the Pier Christiaanssloot, the old peat canal that runs into the Tjeukemeer. The harbour is now run under Jachthaven Echtenerbrug B.V., a family business dating from 1960 that also operates a chalet park, camping and camper pitches. Most berths are fixed moorings, and free boxes are let to passing boats. Ashore there are sanitary facilities including a disabled bathroom, a laundry room, a fuel point with Super Plus petrol and Traxx diesel, and a watersports shop; the associated yard Scheepswerf de Breedendam handles repairs. From the harbour the Tjeukemeer, Langweerderwielen, Grote Brekken and the IJsselmeer are all reachable.
