Jachthaven De Koppoel at Ripselaan 3 in Rijpwetering has been a family water-sports business since 1938, with a speciality in the sale, maintenance and repair of outboard motors and accessories alongside its moorings. The harbour lies directly on the Kagerplassen and offers permanent berths, with published figures ranging from about 60 to 120 places depending on the source, for boats up to sizeable lengths and 2.50 metres draught. Guest moorings are not offered. The position is hard to beat for Zuid-Holland lake sailing: the Kagerplassen, Braassemermeer, Westeinderplassen, the Ringvaart and the town moorings of Leiden are all within an hour under way.
