Jachthaven De Galgenwaard
Location: Lingedijk 8a, Oosterwijk, Netherlands
Jachthaven De Galgenwaard is a small passage harbour within a three-hectare day recreation area on the Linge between Oosterwijk, near Leerdam, and Heukelum. Recreation operator Uiterwaarde runs the site, which offers a paid visitor jetty, a paid slipway, a waste-water pump-out and a canoe landing, backed ashore by toilets, a bathing meadow, picnic space and motorhome pitches. A foot and cycle ferry crosses the Linge from the grounds to Heukelum. The narrow, tree-lined Linge is among the prettiest small rivers in the Netherlands for sloop and small-cruiser touring, and De Galgenwaard makes a practical day or overnight stop on the run between Leerdam and Gorinchem.
