Jachthaven De Batterij

Jachthaven De Batterij lies on the Hollands Diep at Willemstad, immediately beside one of the best-preserved fortified towns in the Netherlands, laid out in 1583 with its star-shaped ramparts still intact. The modern, Blue Flag marina has 215 spacious berths, taking visitors from 5 to 18 metres in around 6 metres of water, with electricity at every berth, good WiFi, a smart sanitary block with washing machine and dryer, and free waste-water pump-out. Its position makes it a natural staging post between the Zeeland deltas, the Biesbosch and Dordrecht, and an evening stroll through Willemstad's harbour, ramparts and restaurants is reason enough to stop.
