Jachthaven Bovendiep

Location: Diemerzeedijk 6, Amsterdam, Netherlands

Jachthaven Bovendiep lies at Diemerzeedijk 6 on the east side of Amsterdam, near the Nieuwe Diep and the entrance to the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal. The Arkenbout family has run the harbour since 1996. It holds more than 200 boats in boxes from 5 to 14 metres and has a visitor jetty and day moorings. The yard operates a 10-tonne crane, offers covered and open winter storage, and handles repair work from small jobs to full paint treatments in an insulated hall. Brokerage of boats and engines, a harbour shop and a café complete the site. Boats reach the Amsterdam canals without locks, and the Oranjesluizen to the IJsselmeer lie about ten minutes away.
