Industriehaven Assen
Location: Vaart ZZ 92, Assen, Netherlands
The Industriehaven is one of four municipal harbours in Assen, capital of the province of Drenthe. Despite the industrial name it functions as a passantenhaven for visiting pleasure craft and lies on the canal approach to the city between the Blauwe Klap bridge and lock 2, off the Noord-Willemsvaart route between Meppel and Groningen. The basin is spacious with generous visitor berths, shore power and a waste water pump-out, but facilities on site are basic. Showers, toilets and a washing machine are available through the harbour master about ten minutes away on foot. Mooring costs 1.45 euro per metre per night. Boats can also continue up the Vaart into the old centre of Assen.
