Weidumerhout is a country hotel and restaurant on the Zwette, part of the famous Elfstedenroute (Eleven Cities route) through Friesland, just south of Leeuwarden at Weidum. It is not a marina in the usual sense: boats on the route can lie alongside the property's waterside grounds while crews eat in the restaurant, which majors on Frisian produce, or stay overnight in the hotel rooms. For those cruising the shallow Frisian canals by sloop, flat-bottomed barge or small cruiser it makes a civilised halt, with open meadow views typical of the Greidhoeke. Leeuwarden's city moorings are about an hour away by water.
