Holland Marine Service, usually shortened to HMS, runs a marina and international yacht brokerage in the Harderhaven at Zeewolde, close to the Harderwijk aquaduct and the Blauwe Dromer lock on the Flevoland border lakes. Founded in March 1989 by R. Schalij and now led by a second generation, the firm has grown into a full harbour with more than 250 moorings. Services go well beyond berthing: a 20 tonne crane handles launching and haul-out, a boat hall covers winter storage, and workshops carry out maintenance and repair, while the brokerage arm keeps a steady stock of motor yachts for sale. Its central position suits owners cruising both the Randmeren and IJsselmeer.
