Historische Binnenhaven 't Bassin

Location: t Bassin 98, Maastricht, Netherlands

't Bassin is the historic inner harbour of Maastricht, dug by hand in 1824 to 1826 as the junction between the Zuid-Willemsvaart and the Maastricht-Liege canal. Today it serves as a 60 berth marina in the Sphinxkwartier, ringed by the monumental earthenware factories of the former Sphinx works, with restaurants, cafes and galleries occupying the vaulted quay cellars. The harbour is open to visiting yachts from 1 April to 1 November and has flown the Blue Flag continuously since 2019. The old city centre lies a few minutes' walk away, between the Sint Servaasbrug and the Wilhelminabrug, and the harbour office is on the Maaspromenade.
