Hilversumse Watersportvereniging De Sporthaven
Location: Vreelandseweg 54, Hilversum, Netherlands
De Sporthaven is the harbour of the Hilversumse Watersportvereniging, a club marina on the Hilversums Kanaal at the western edge of Hilversum, on the Vreelandseweg. The canal dates from around 1930 and runs to the river Vecht through the 't Hemeltje lock at Nederhorst den Berg, which places the Vecht towns and the Loosdrecht lakes within a short cruise. All berths have electricity and water. The waiting list for permanent places is closed, but visiting boats up to 12 metres can usually be fitted in by prior arrangement during the season, which runs from 1 April to 1 October. Ashore are a canteen with terrace, showers and toilets, a washing machine and dryer, an AED and two loan bicycles.
