Heech by de Mar

Heech by de Mar is a marina on the edge of Heeg in southwest Friesland, about a five minute walk from the village centre. The route to the Heegermeer is free of bridges, and via Stavoren, Workum or Lemmer the IJsselmeer can be reached in roughly two hours. The harbour is laid out for traditional round-bilged and flat-bottomed ships, with boxes up to 12 by 4.60 metres, electricity and water at every berth, a well equipped sanitary building and free WiFi. Ashore the yard runs winter storage with its own crane, which lifts up to 25 tonnes, and the grounds are easy to reach by car for launching and layup.
