Havenkwartier Blauwestad
Location: Uiterdijk 4, Blauwestad, Netherlands
Havenkwartier Blauwestad is the central marina of the Blauwestad development on the Oldambtmeer in Groningen, a lake created in 2005 on former farmland. The harbour opened in 2013 and has about 140 fixed berths, with boxes for boats of 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 metres plus quay moorings and dinghy spaces. Visitor berths are available per day, week or month, with rates from a few euros for small boats. Facilities include free showers and toilets, shore power, water taps, a pump-out station, a launch ramp and free parking; access runs via a SEP card system. Restaurant Blauwestad has a terrace on the water, and the Strand Zuid beach lies next door. Housing and shops are being built around the basin.
