Haven Stavenisse
Location: Stavenisse, Netherlands
Haven Stavenisse sits behind the sea dyke on the southern shore of the Oosterschelde on the island of Tholen, run by the local sport fishing and watersports association SWS Stavenisse. The tidal harbour holds around 180 permanent moorings plus some 15 guest places, managed by a harbourmaster through the season, with winter storage afloat also on offer. Its position in the middle of the Zeeland delta is a real asset: the Oosterschelde is on the doorstep, and the Veerse Meer, Mastgat and Grevelingenmeer all lie within about an hour under way. A berth here requires membership of the association, though visitors are welcomed in the guest boxes.
