Haven Resort Heeg lies directly on open water at the Heegermeer, the lake that forms the southwestern gateway to the Frisian lake district. The development pairs a marina with 52 holiday homes on the waterfront, and it sits on the route of the Elfstedentocht. Unlike a classic rental harbour, berths here are sold rather than let, with mooring places in several sizes offered from around 39,000 euros and boathouses for vessels up to 22 metres, some with a studio above. From the resort it is open water straight onto the Heegermeer, with Stavoren, Workum and the IJsselmeer a few hours away by boat and the village of Heeg close by.
