Haven Nieuwesluis

Haven Nieuwesluis is a small foundation-run harbour in the hamlet of Nieuwesluis near Wieringerwaard, in the far north of Noord-Holland. It lies on the Waardkanaal, the quiet waterway along the western edge of the Wieringermeer polder that links the Amstelmeer with the canals towards Kolhorn and Schagen. The harbour offers about 40 berths, roughly 20 of them boxes and the rest alongside the quay, and many of the same boats return year after year. Ashore there are toilets, showers, shore power, a trailer slipway and a small playground. The setting is rural and unhurried, with the Amstelmeer and the Wadden Sea lock at Den Oever within easy reach for onward cruising.
