Haven Alde Leie (Havenmond)

Location: Hoogeweg 26, Alde Leie, Netherlands

Haven Alde Leie, known locally as the Havenmond, is a small volunteer-run harbour just outside the Frisian village of Alde Leie on the northern Eleven Cities sailing route. The harbour commission of the village association maintains 30 permanent moorings and 8 guest berths, open from 1 April to 1 October, with visitor rates of fifty cents per metre per night. Facilities are modest but complete: electricity, water, a shower and toilet block, a waste-water point and a trailer slipway, plus picnic tables, a boules court and a children's playground ashore. The quiet Alde Leie stream links the route between Leeuwarden, Bartlehiem and the Wadden coast villages.
