Gemeentelijke Passantenhaven Mounehiem

Location: Mounewei 19, Burdaard, Netherlands

Mounehiem is the municipal visitor harbour of Burdaard, a Frisian terp village on the Dokkumer Ee between Leeuwarden and Dokkum, on the classic Elfstedentocht route. The harbour has 18 passantenplaatsen and no permanent berths, so it works as an overnight stop rather than a home port. Berths cannot be reserved and are allocated first come, first served. A manager visits daily in the evening between 7 and 10 pm, and there is a toilet building on the grounds. The harbour shares its site with a minicamping for about fifteen caravans or campers plus three trekkershutten, with entrances at Hikkaarderdyk 37 and the Ruurd Wiersmapaed. Quiet walking and cycling paths follow the Ee through open farmland.
