Gemeentelijke Jachthaven Terheijden

Location: Haven 4, Terheijden, Netherlands

The municipal harbour of Terheijden lies on the river Mark just north of Breda, run by the gemeente Drimmelen as a classic Brabant village harbour. It holds roughly 120 permanent moorings in boxes along floating jetties, with about 20 visitor places for passing craft charged by the metre per night. The setting is convivial rather than commercial, with the village core and its cafes a short walk from the water, and the harbour promotes itself on Brabant hospitality. From here the Mark leads downstream towards the Amer and the creeks of the Biesbosch, while upstream lies the city of Breda, which makes Terheijden a handy overnight stop between the two.
