Gemeentelijke Buitenhaven en Binnenhaven Makkum
Location: Workumerdijk 1, Makkum, Netherlands
The municipal harbour of Makkum, run by the gemeente Sudwest-Fryslan from Workumerdijk 1, lies directly on the IJsselmeer beside the village centre. The Buitenhaven offers 175 berths reached straight from open water without locks or bridges, while the sheltered Binnenhaven has room for roughly 25 yachts among the old brick houses. Jetties carry water taps and power points, a sanitary block with showers and toilets is open daily through the season, and a washing machine and dryer stand at the former fish auction. The harbour flies the Blue Flag for cleanliness and safety, and Makkum's shops, restaurants and the Kornwerderzand passage to the Wadden Sea are close by.
