Gemeentehaven Zierikzee

Location: Havenplein 1, Zierikzee, Netherlands

The Gemeentehaven of Zierikzee is reputed to be the busiest visitor harbour in Zeeland, with around 170 berths strung along the old harbour canal of this monumental Schouwen-Duiveland town. Yachts enter from the Oosterschelde national park, with four metres of depth in both the approach and the basin, and vessels over 25 metres are asked to call ahead. The municipality runs the harbour and provides electricity, water, waste disposal and showers, with sanitary blocks at the Zuidhavenpoort, Het Luitje and a floating facility on the Westhavendijk. Zierikzee's centre, its medieval gates and its restaurants begin directly at the quayside.
