Gemeentehaven Vlaardingen

The Gemeentehaven of Vlaardingen lies in the historic heart of this old herring town on the Nieuwe Maas, west of Rotterdam. Visiting yachts moor among a fine collection of historic vessels along the quays of the old harbour, reached from the river through the outer harbour, with a bridge and lock operated by the municipal harbour service. Facilities include toilet buildings, a waste station, water and electricity, and the berths sit within a short walk of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. The harbour service answers questions on berth availability and the operating times of the bridge and lock, and the setting among preserved ships gives an overnight stop here real character.
